It is hard to get away from SLIP who can make it back-to-back successes; the main dangers would appear to be Polish Power and Waterside. The selection was a narrow scorer over Waterside last time but he idled in front that day and he was good value for his winning margin. He was also returning from a break so there should be more to come and he can confirm superiority over Waterside. Polish Power won a claimer over this course and distance back in May so he has to be respected, but he has been a bit disappointing on his last couple of starts. Guiseppe Verdi has won all three of his starts on the all-weather but he has been off the racecourse since 2007 so the market may well be a guide to his chance today. There should be more to come from Slip and he can get his head in front again.
