Namroud is taken to follow up, with Davenport, Trifti and Obrigado seen as the main dangers. Namroud was ridden to victory by today's pilot Tony Hamilton at York in July, but has struggled with his rating as a result and failed to add to that until getting back to winning ways at Ayr at the end of last month when put back down to a mark of 79. Back up to 83 here, he cannot be considered a good thing, but if handling the surface on his first ever visit to Lingfield, he has as good a chance as any and gets the vote. Davenport is now five-pounds lower than when winning a weak apprentice affair at Newmarket for today's pilot and must be considered along with Trifti. The latter is a course winner, and more recently won over nine furlongs at Wolverhampton, but he may now start to struggle off his current mark of 78. Obrigado tried to make all at Yarmouth last time and is not too badly treated so is worth a second look as well, but Namroud is our idea of the winner.
