There are good reports about those runners that John Gosden is keeping going over the winter and Cactus King looks good enough to take this from Queen's Composer, Marachi Band and Daramour. The selection made a good improvement from his debut last month, over an inadequate six furlongs, to his second run. This outing comes relatively quickly once more, and the Green Desert colt can now reach fever pitch to break his maiden. Queen's Composer has the best form of the others to have run, and despite both his runs coming over seven furlongs, this step up to a mile should suit. However, this surface will be much different to what he has encountered so far, and he has a bit to prove. Both Marachi Band and Daramour have things in their pedigree that suggest they too can go well, and the market will be our best guide there, but Cactus King has experience and can put that to good effect here.
