This is a competitive race to open the card in which What'sonyourmind, George Stubbs and High Day look to be the leading lights and the vote is given to George Stubbs. The selection was quite useful on the plat and made a really pleasing debut over hurdles when a good second behind Snow's Ride. He did little wrong that day and really caught the eye, and with the benefit of that experience under his belt he is taken to score today providing he handles the ground. What'sonyourmind rates the main danger as he is a three parts brother to Alexander Banquet and he won his bumper in good style at Navan on his debut. He is proven on this surface which is a major plus and on his hurdling bow he has to be respected. High Day won well at Hexham last time and he will certainly have no ground worries today. Connections also believe that he will be suited by this drop to 2m and it would be no surprise to see him go close. Millicent Cross was returning from a break when shaping encouragingly at Lingfield last time. However, George Stubbs looks a natural over hurdles and is taken to lead them home.
