Azygous can defy topweight at the expense of Grimes Faith, Cheap N Chic and Orpsie Boy. Azygous seems to have been on the go all season, and of late has looked one to follow, with seconds at Epsom and Windsor. Basically he just needs a stronger jockey on board, as young James Millman has not been able to conjure up enough strength for him to last home at either of those two venues, after John Akehurst's charge had done all the hard work early on. Successful here under Alan Munro on his first two outings, Azygous returns to the Surrey track with Kieren Fallon on board for the first time, and that should make all the difference. Grimes Faith has been a model of consistency and lost nothing in defeat when chasing home the useful Trophy Pride over five furlongs here last month. He looks the main danger with the step up in trip to help. Cheap N Chic is a stablemate of the latter, but is probably not as good, although he does have experience, while Orpsie Boy's course and distance victory over Lipizza has been franked since. A decent nursery can go the way of Azygous.
