There was plenty to like about the way that LOVE MATCH won at Newbury last time and she is taken to defy an 8lb rise and follow-up at the main expense of Maid In Heaven, Whirly Dancer and Copper Penny. The Roger Charlton-trained pick has taken a while to get the hang of things on the racecourse but the penny finally dropped last time when she showed good acceleration to go from last to first over this sort of trip. Fast ground suits and with confidence high she can go in again. Maid In Heaven looks the big danger. Walter Swinburn's filly did well to get the better of Suited And Booted over course and distance earlier this month and has been raised 7lbs for that. This will be the first time she has encountered fast ground, so she has it to prove on the surface and we will just take her on. Whirly Dancer acts on good to firm and is dropped back to her optimum trip after a decent effort in defeat at Goodwood last time. She is respected. Copper Penny relishes fast ground and looked decent when taking a Beverley maiden. This is tougher, but she is not ruled out, though preference is for Love Match.
