REGENT'S SECRET is a reliable enough sort and with a decent rider booked, he can account for Zelos Diktator and Yonder. Jim Goldie's stable have been in fair enough form of late and while this is a small step up in trip for the 10-year-old; he ran another solid race at the course last time out. Zelos Diktator has been kept busy over hurdles. A winner on the flat for Rae Guest; he has gone up 10lb since that success. Yonder could be a likely front runner and this dual purposer performer is appreciative of a sound surface. Grethel has ability though she has become somewhat disappointing. Perez should have won a race over hurdles at Wetherby before consenting to throw it away. Held in some regard when with Pat Eddery; he is dangerously handicapped at present. Channel Crossing won an apprentice riders race at Leicester over 1m4f and has to enter calculations. Piermarini has no wins to his name though this ex-Mark Johnston horse has been kept in training after a year on the sidelines so any market move should be noted. Regent's Secret is not without negatives tonight but he could be the safest option in a race where consistency comes at a premium.
