Not a strong handicap and one where MAGNITUDE might be good enough to return to the head of the podium, with Amazing King and Astronomical also short-listed. Our pick has plummeted in the weights since landing a Lingfield seller in February over a similar trip to this. Fast ground suits, the yard is going well, and he will not have many better chances to win a race of this nature. Amazing King was a Musselburgh winner last time and has gone up 5lbs for that success. He will act on the ground but the handicapper will probably have the final say. Astronomical fails to fully convince over this trip and appears better over 10f. Having said that, he has made the frame a couple of times over this far and may be capable of doing the same again. Chincoteague may well be better than when tried at Goodwood last month and if there is support for him it will probably be significant, but Magnitude gets the vote.
