    Verdict

Elraawy can finally get his head in front, with Letham Spiel and newcomer Fleece taken to give him most to do. Elraawy disappointed on his one try over 12 furlongs at Newmarket in July, but he plugged on gamely enough behind the winner Bold Eagle at Beverley last time, and surely his experience will count for something here. On breeding he should have no problems with the trip really, and although he looks destined for handicaps, Ed Dunlop's charge can at least pay to follow today. Letham Spiel was put firmly in his place by an odds-on shot on his Ripon debut, but he will have learnt from that and should gallop into a place at least. Henry Cecil introduces a daughter of Daylami in the shape of Fleece, and she would not have to be anything special to go close either in this company, but we shall give Elraay another chance to open his account.
