Mister Benedictine, Dune Melody and Lavenham are the three for the shortlist here, and Mister Benedictine is taken to maintain jockey Eddie Ahern's winning run. Dune Melody comes here in good heart after a good second at Goodwood. That was on a softer surface however, and as his only win came on a similar surface at Hamilton last year he is passed over with the ground here riding much quicker. Richard Hannon's Lavenham showed some encouragement as a juvenile and duly won on her seasonal debut at Lingfield before finishing third in a decent Newbury handicap. She has clearly improved but is another who is not proven to handle the ground. Mister Benedictine stayed on well to be second in a good Epsom handicap last time and showed form on fast ground at Beverley last season when landing his second race of the campaign. Mister Benedictine has been raised only a pound for his Epsom run and can go one better here.
