Phantom Whisper, Terentia and Bajan Parkes are the three for the shortlist here and preference is for Terentia to complete a four timer. Henry Candy's Bajan Parkes is a useful type who is well regarded by his trainer. He won on his debut at Bath last season, showing plenty of speed, and ran respectably in defeat at Ascot on his return this year. he finished fourth that day, and the handicapper has done him a favour by dropping him a pound. He can run well. Phantom Whisper also commands respect after his win over Loch Verdi at Windsor. That was a smart effort to defeat the daughter of Lochsong, and he clearly appreciates a fast surface. Despite a seven pound rise in the ratings he can go close. After a promising debut, Terentia has won her next three races, showing plenty of pace. She is a daughter of Diktat, out of a speedy winning mare, and she scored at Windsor last time in impressive style. Terentia can shrug off a nine pound rise in the ratings.
