In the opener, Blue Sky Basin is selected ahead of Tenjack King and La Rosa Nostra. Blue Sky Basin showed plenty of promise when fourth to Redolent on his Sandown debut and looks a key player here. Noble Citizen has shown promise in each start to date and, given that he is bred to be better on artificial surfaces, could go well today. Jamie Osborne is proving himself adept with juveniles so his 54,000 guineas purchase Tenjack King should be given some thought. Walter Swinburn - whose stable sponsors this card - runs the 85,000 euros purchase, La Rosa Nostra, and she should be given plenty of thought. Of the others, the Richard Hannon-trained Irish Artist showed some promise on his Goodwood debut and looks set to improve on that, Valiant Vicar improved from run one to two and could keep it coming for run three, and the James Fanshawe-trained Pediment certainly has something to like on breeding. Overall, though, we prefer the chances of the selection, which is Blue Sky Basin.
