In division two of the maiden, Copywriter is selected ahead of Stones Of Venice and La Belle Joannie. Much as Copywriter didn't quite build as expected on his debut run at Lingfield last time, he cannot be ruled out based on the promise he has shown. Havanach showed promise on his course and distance debut and is entitled to come on for that, while Shadow Cabinet has not been disgraced in his two career starts and it would be no surprise to see him go well today. Tension Mounts is another Jamie Osborne two-year-old to keep an eye on, although he has already been gelded, while, with his stable in better form now, Futune can build on his debut run. La Belle Joannie has achieved a couple of placings and, much as the form of those efforts is not strong, this does not look a particularly strong maiden. Finally, the James Fanshawe-trained Stones Of Venice has plenty to like on breeding and her chance cannot be discounted. Once again, though, the selection is Copywriter.
