Just the four runners in this and the selection is Al Tharib. Fair Group and Listed runs in her last two starts from the James Fanshawe-trained Portal bring her into the equation here. Although he was found out at Royal Ascot last time, the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Al Tharib won his maiden well enough the time before that, in which he beat the subsequent King George V Stakes winner Heron Bay. Much as this is his all-weather debut, his breeding suggests he will be able to handle it and he is given plenty of respect. Duke Of Tuscany needs to find some improvement if you base things on official ratings but the Walter Swinburn-trained Marzelline has not been disgraced at Listed level on her last two starts, having run pretty well in the Ribbesdale Stakes the time before that. She can go well but, for the selection, we will stick with Al Tharib.
