In this sprint, Dingaan is selected ahead of Prince Tamino and Diane's Choice. Mutamared has proven himself decent over today's course and distance but he needs a career-best effort if he is to win today. Smart though he is, Viking Spirit also will needs a career best if he is to score, while Prince Tamino was not beaten far by Presto Shinko at Windsor last time and it could be that first-time headgear will sharpen his focus for the job in hand. Bomber Command also falls into the category of needing a career-best effort, while Wessex holds claims based on his best all-weather form, although that has come recently at Southwell. Dingaan is three from five on the all-weather and has now dropped back to a winning mark; he is also a course and distance winner and gets a fair shout today. Woodcote is well handicapped based on his best form of 2006 but this is his all-weather debut, Moonlight Man could be given a chance based on his best Turf form, but his two all-weather runs to date have been tame, but Diane's Choice cannot be ruled out based on her best course and distance efforts of 2006. Once again, though, the selection is Dingaan.
