Verdict

Tony Carroll's Grey Boy has shown good form in recent starts on turf but disappointed here recently so may be best watched in a race taken to go to, LADY LAM, who gets the verdict ahead of Binnion Bay. John Bridger's gelding, a narrow winner at Lingfield in April, ran well at Salisbury on his most recent start and has claims back on the Polytrack off just a 4lb higher mark than at Lingfield so has to be considered. Mick Channon's Alfredtheordinary has been running consistently well on turf of late but has plenty to find with Binnion Bay on previous form here, while Willie Musson's Bob Stock has slipped to a fair mark but remains a maiden after 16 starts. The vote then in a poor quality concluding event goes to Sylvester Kirk's Lady Lam, who has shown improved form on turf of late and looks worth backing in the hope that she can show similar improvement now returned to the Polytrack.
