In depth

Verdict

QUEEN OF SPAIN, a close relative of Mastercraftsman, has been highly tried in her three races to date and ran really well in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot where she finished third in the group that raced on the far side. Further progress looks guaranteed and it will be a shock if she is beaten by any of her rivals with experience. Dermot Weld's newcomer Late Day Sun is a beautifully bred filly by Montjeu out of a USA 1m1f winner. She will be seen to better effect over further in time and is one for the future. Miss Windley may prove best of the remainder as she showed reasonable pace on her debut behind Khelino at Cork.
