Marcus Tregoning's Harting Hill deserves to get his head in front having found one too good here in each of his last two starts but he is 1lb higher in the weights than last time and may again have to settle for minor honours with a safer option looking to be HAZYTOO, who gets the verdict ahead of Cut The Cackle. Peter Winkworth's gelding has the burden of top weight but he has slipped to a decent mark and has to be respected having shown encouragement in his last two starts on turf. The Stuart Williams-trained Billberry ran better at Warwick last month and has claims back on the Polytrack on which he has a much better record but he may just be a shade high in the weights. Cape Quarter showed signs of a return to form at Lingfield recently and has claims but William Haggas is struggling for winners, while Sylvester Kirk's Perfect Friend has shown improved form on turf of late and would have every chance if able to reproduce the form that he showed at Newbury at the beginning of the month here. Preference then is for Peter Makin's Hazytoo, who has more to do than when successful off a 3lb lower mark than this at Salisbury last time but that rise in the weights is perfectly fair and he can score again.
