Brian Meehan's Seafarer held on well when making a winning debut at Bath in April and he has every chance off what looks a fair mark of just 79 for his handicap debut but that did not look a particularly good race that he won that day, while Simon Dow's Mustakmil was in good form when last seen having won his last two starts but has not raced since December and may need the run so a better bet looks to be FLAPPER. The John Hills-trained filly made a highly encouraging reappearance when finishing a close up third behind Shamir over course and distance last month and she looks worth siding with racing off the same mark today. Alqaahir is held by the selection on running here last time, while Kilburn has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for his win at Goodwood in May. Dean Ivory's Kiss A Prince has quarter-a-length in hand over the selection on running behind Shamir but was having his fourth outing of the campaign that day and may not be able to confirm the form. Jeff Pearce's Red Suede Shoes needs to improve on recent showing and a better bet looks to be Flapper, who has solid claims if able to build on that reappearance run.
