Aidan O'Brien makes another attempt to get the front-running Ice Empress off the mark though she has found little when headed on her previous starts in maidens. This isn't the toughest of races and Appletreemagic may be one of those that have her measure. Patrick Martin's mare has been in good form all year and her narrow defaet by Inishtearaght over today's C&D a month ago makes good reading. Sabrina Harty's Lac A Dancer is another in good form at present and her close third behind Desert Romance over today's C&D last month shows her in good light. Patrick Flynn has a couple of entries in Birregurra and TALKIN KATE and it's the latter, who defied an absence of 19 months with an excellent fourth behind Camira at Leopardstown under Maria Quinlan in late May, who gets the vote.
