A chance is taken with Regal Bird, whose juvenile form was encouraging enough for him to get the nod ahead of Mexican Venture and Game Park, who are hard to separate on this season's form. There was less than a length to separate them when they met at Newmarket last month and it is likely to be close again today. Mexican Venture looks the more progressive of the two but has a bit to prove from a 6lb higher mark. Therefore, we turn to Regal Bird in the search for a likely contender at a nice price. The Mikael Magnusson-trained filly is expected to relish the step up to a mile and, from the right end of the weights, she can make a flying start to her campaign.
