In depth

Verdict

Those contesting this fillies maiden have quite a bit to live up to given that Fleeting Spirit landed this contest last year. The Harry Findley owned Kerrys Requiem is the sole contender with racecourse experience and while her experience gives her an immediate advantage, she has not set the world alight to say the least. She was well supported at morning prices for her last start but raced quite keenly throughout and as a consequence failed to get home. Back to the minimum trip here and with a rails draw, it is likely her rider will apply front running tactics and she should prove difficult to beat. Mrs Kipling is an interesting newcomer and support should certainly be noted given connections; her sire has had some smart juveniles out at the moment. Kevin Ryan's Madama Trop Vite is related to a very ordinary juvenile winner in Ireland while if the market speaks in favour of either of the Barry Hills trained fillies, it should be noted for future reference. Kerrys Requiem is taken to put her experience to good use here and land the opener.
