Verdict

A tricky maiden to open the card and we will side with the experience of Sweet Smile here, while Lookafternumberone should not be far away. The selection put up a respectable debut when tried over this trip at Haydock and can improve for that outing. He is related to a juvenile winner and although he looks likely to be better over further in time he could break his duck here. Lookafternumberone is another with racecourse experience and James Given steps him up from five to six furlongs now. His debut went as well as could be expected and there is every reason to believe that the extra furlong will help him, so he can't be ruled out with confidence. Mark Johnston saddles Becausewecan, a half-brother to a winner over this trip at two, so a good debut would be no surprise, though Point Of Light will probably be better in the future and anything today would be a bonus. Eldorado Days needs to improve a fair bit for his first run and we'll take Sweet Smile to get off the mark.
