Aphorism and Brave Bugsy make sizeable trips for this race but neither looks entirely comfortable if the predicted rain arrives and we'll take Danzatrice to add to his recent c&d success here from 5lb higher. The selection is a genuine, consistent performer in these northern staying handicaps and he acts on any ground. Two miles looks spot on for him these days and he can defy a career-high mark to score. Aphorism won over this distance at Warwick last year but tired on soft ground at Nottingham next time and again was well beaten with cut in the ground on his reappearance, so unless it stays dry her chance will be diminishing. Brave Bugsy was a winner last time over slightly further than this at Bath but now 5lb higher and again unlikely to be suited by juice underfoot so is opposed. Industrial Star has c&d winning form but again won't be suited by rain and also usually needs a run, while Tribe stays every yard of this and money for him would be interesting. However, Danzatrice has plenty of solid form at this level and is the selection here.
