Shariki could be anything after just the two starts as a juvenile and while lack of a recent run may not be of concern, form on this surface is, so Godolphin's runner may be best left out of calculations with preference for Stotsfold over Katchit. The selection opened his account on the Polytrack at Lingfield in June and has done little wrong since then, probably finding conditions too testing at Newbury last time. Walter Swinburn's gelding remains potentially well treated and he gets the vote. Marcus Tregoning's Babcary is a consistent performer and is entitled to be thereabouts again but may just be a shade high in the weights now, while Summer Charm could also do with some help from the handicapper. Royal Amnesty has shown progressive form on the sand this year and is another to consider along with Alan King's consistent Katchit but it is Stotsfold who gets the vote to resume winning ways.
