Marajel, Ribh and Turkish Sultan are the three to look at here and Turkish Sultan gets the vote. Ribh showed marked improvement on her second start at Newmarket in a good maiden, finishing a distant second. She has been off the course though for well over a year, and being a daughter of Zafonic will not have been helped by the recent rain. She may get bogged down in the ground with more rain forecast and despite that Newmarket run being on good to soft ground is passed over. After showing little on his Newmarket bow Marajel was dropped in grade at Yarmouth next time but found little in the closing stages. Peter Chapple-Hyam's runners are to be respected at present but Marajel looks quite ordinary and is taken on. Second twice as a juvenile, Turkish Sultan made a belated seasonal re-appearance at Thirsk last month, finishing a close second, just run out of it close home. That was over seven furlongs and this furlong shorter trip should suit. The only concern is that his only below par run came on good to soft ground. However, by Anabaa, who enjoyed give underfoot, Turkish Sultan is the selection in the belief that run was a blip.
