High Meadow Girl, Tagula Bay and Jember Red are the three to consider here and preference is for Tagula Bay. Jember red has had only the one outing to date, and showed some ability before fading in the closing stgaes. Bryan Smart is to be respected here with his runners, and the extra give underfoot may help her cause. In a weak affair she cannot be ruled out. On the form of her second in a Ripon maiden last year, High Meadow Girl would take all the beating but she has finished stone cold last in her most recent starts and has not progressed. Tagula Bay is far and away the most exposed runner in the field but has run respectably in her last two starts, not beaten far. She enjoys cut in the ground and despite this being her twentieth attempt to lose her maiden status, Tagula Bay gets the nod-she was a close second to Reverence last year and that form has a more than solid look although it's fair to say the two rivals have gone in different directions since then.
