The card takes a slight turn for the worse here and it is recent winner Cheveton who can score ahead of Pickering and Sofinella. The selection comes here on the back of a recent win at Sandown, the first of his career. He deserved that after a string of near misses and with that confidence boosting win under his belt he is fancied to defy a 5lb rise in the weights. Rabbit Fighter has claims but his overall form is a bit up and down, so a bigger danger may be Pickering who bounced back to form on his reappearance and could be picking up a head of steam. Desert Opal and Town House bring some fair recently form to the table, with the majority of it being all-weather based, whilst Jonny Ebeneezer needs watching in the betting for signs of support now back on the track. Sofinella ran well in defeat at Yarmouth but has something to find with the selection on a form line through Wibbadune, and thus we return to Cheveton as the selection.
