In depth

Verdict

Gaborone showed plenty of promise on her debut in a Thirsk claimer in April and Jonathan Gask's filly has to be respected but Meydan Groove sets a decent standard and gets the vote, with Bold Account rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has run creditably in all three starts in maidens and Paul Cole's filly now drops into selling grade for the first time. It is a move that should see her open her account. Clive Cox has his team in better form now so Baby Special has to be respected, especially being dropped in class. George Margarson's Tillagirl showed only a modicum of ability on her debut and of more interest may be Karl Burke's Bold Account, who has shown a decent level of form in this grade in her two previous starts. Meydan Groove has an obvious chance though and she gets the vote.
