Turbo Linn won this last year and Alan Swinbank's mare can win again; Clowance and Anna Pavlova join Folk Opera on the shortlist. The selection takes a drop in grade today having contested a Group One last time, and she was outclassed at Ascot. However she is better judged on her close second at Hamilton on her reappearance which showed that she has trained on. She has a touch of class and gets the nod here. Steve Drowne gets the ride back on Clowance which could prove significant having lost out to Frankie at Ascot; she has claims and I really cannot get drawn into who has the best record at the track. P.S. its Frankie if we go on percentages, however he rides at Sandown. Godolphin¿s Folk Opera needs respect as she has proven that she is very progressive and acts well here, whilst Anna Pavlova is top-weighted and will do well to give weight away all round; she would love a strong pace. Dress Rehearsal is progressive, whilst Icon Project given a bit of a shocker last time in the Ribblesdale and is rated better than the bare result. Ezima, Arthur's Girl and Queen Naples all add more spice to the mix, however returned to Haydock this year's Lancashire Oaks can go to last year's winner Turbo Linn.
