Division 2 of the maiden is equally hard to find a confident selection, but we'll side with Tatbeeq, ahead of Applaude and Robert Burns. Michael Jarvis' filly looks the improving sort, having been narrowly beaten on her last two outings. She's the most experienced runner in the field, and it's surely a matter of when rather than if, she's in the winners' enclosure. Applaude was an eye catching runner up in his only previous race at Doncaster last month, and if he comes on for the experience could be the winner. Robert Burns disappointed last time out in better company, but had looked to be heading the right way before then, so a downgrade may be more to his liking. It doesn't look to be a race to live long in the memory though, so a tentative selection is Tatbeeq.
