Island Chief is marginally best served by the framing of this competitive claimer but his recent form is off putting so instead preference is made for NORTH CENTRAL, who took no disgrace in defeat to Crimea last time out, while Miami Gator looks one of the more likely. The pick had no chance with his conqueror last time on the terms of the race and with nothing of that ilk in this line-up he has a good chance of going one better. Island Chief is from a yard in form and can be given a chance on his two runs behind plating class specialists in the spring. Since then though his form has not been great so he'll need to bounce back. Miami Gator was expected to do better in a selling handicap last time and although it was ultimately a disappointing run he faired better the last time he was in this grade so he looks a danger. King's Sabre couldn't be ruled out on these terms but North Central looks to be the percentage call.
