In depth

Verdict

GRACEFUL DESCENT and Terminate should have this race between them and Richard Fahey's runner may emerge on top. The handicapper has allotted Dance Sauvage and Cecina Marina with marks of thirty six and thirty four respectively and it's difficult to argue with that assessment and both are struggling for form at present. It's getting on for two stone that they have to find in order to trouble the two principals who look capable of running close to their marks. Terminate comes out marginally on top at the figures once his jockey's claim is taken into account and he's been in good form for his previous connections but he makes his debut for a new yard on ground that may not be ideal as he's never run up to his best on ground with soft in the going description. Conditions are no problem for the selection who is still put forwards despite only managing to convert one of seven first two finishes to gold but she's done very little wrong on any of her last four outings. She's been returned a beaten favourite on three of them but, today, the brave should be able to recoup their losses on Graceful Descent.
