The combination of a first time visor and a low draw help make a good case for Danzig River, who can provide the winning ticket for the 'David Nicholls lottery' that brings the card to a close. Stablemates, Wanchai Lad and Sir Edwin Landseer have a bit to prove with Sierra Vista from Wednesday's meeting, so a bigger threat may be posed by the back-to-form Idle Power, who goes well here, and Ingleton, who has solid claims on the pick of his form. It will be noteworthy if the last named takes his chance again after his exertions here yesterday. Sierra Vista hails from a yard that can do little wrong and she should make a bold bid despite being burdened with 5lb extra. However, Danzig River is now back on a winning mark and, with the drop in trip very much in his favour, this well-treated four-year-old could be the surprise package of the Nicholls quintet that are set to take their chances if the headgear brings the best out of him.
