Majestic Desert rates as good value to lead some high-class fillies home now that she reverts to seven furlongs. Lucky Spin and the German 1,000 Guineas winner Anna Monda are expected to provide the sternest challenges, while it will also be interesting to see how Quickfire gets on now that she drops in distance. The last named ran a puzzling race when she was fifth in the Sandringham at York and now has a little to prove. Anna Monda should have her measure if she runs up to the level of her Group-two success and she is one to seriously monitor in the betting. Lucky Spin ran an exceptionally good race to get the better of La Cucaracha at York earlier in the month. She is a versatile sort and, with her yard noted with their raiders at Goodwood, she is forwarded the utmost respect. However, Majestic Desert is an honest performer that can be relied upon to give her all. Mick Channon has always thought the world of this daughter of Fraam and she represents fair value at the likely prices to bolster her paddocks value with a belated first win of the year.
