King's Icon showed enough on debut to suggest that he is up to landing this, with Prince Desire, Little Wing and Alsadeek other on the short list. The selection will surely improve for a course and distacne debut effort that saw him finish a beaten favourite. He ran well enough that day and the experience can stand him in good stead this time. Prince Desire comes from a yard not entirely firing as it would like at present and despite being by Fasiliyev, most of his pedigree suggests that he will need a trip to be seen to best effect. Alsadeek looks a more likely proposition. His dam was a juvenile winner over the trip and the signs look good for a big run. Watch the market as usual in this sort of contest, and when you do note the price of Little Wing, who also has a good pedigree and may be the subject of some support. However King's Icon can step up on his debut effort and go one better now.
