In depth

Verdict

Elna Bright is taken to get the better of Shatter Resistant and Sinead of Aglish in this competitive opener. The selection is a lightly-raced colt and he has shown plenty of promise on each of his two runs to date. He was second behind a decent sort at Chepstow last time and a reproduction of that effort should see him tough to beat here, although the draw could have been kinder to him. Shatter Resistant is interesting as the yard do well with their runners here and he showed up well for a long way last time here on ground that was far from ideal. He is also well drawn so he is entitled to plenty of respect. Sinead of Aglish has been placed in all of her starts so far and she was a little unlucky when second behind Yasinisi at Redcar last time. Her pilot Seb Sanders rides this track extremely well and she has to be considered from a fair draw. Brian Meehan's runners normally come on for their first run so Adam Eterno could improve, although he was well beaten on his debut at Newbury. An interesting contest to open the card and the vote is given to Elna Bright.
