Logsdail is in good nick and can take this opener from Sedgwick, Paraguay and Norwegian. The selection was a winner here over course and distance off a mark of 63 last time and has gone up 5lb for that success. However, he handles any ground and is suited by this quirky track, so with plenty in his favour he gets the nod. Sedgwick was a soft ground maiden handicap winner at Nottingham earlier in the campaign and was not far away on much quicker ground over the same trip as today's last time at Ayr, so will be no back number. Paraguay carries top weight but has been dropped to a very handy mark of 70. We could see the gelding going well but he is not in good enough form in general to get the nod. Of the remainder, Norwegian is on a winning mark and enjoys both trip and ground, so don't rule him out, but preference here is for Logsdail to go in again.
