Steelcut won well last time out at Thirsk but the money was down then and despite the stable being in fine form we are going to take him on; the horse with the honour is the progressive filly PRINCESS ROSE ANNE who is taken to see off Rocker and the course and distance winners Elhamri and Hereford Boy. John Best's filly has supplemented her St Moritz win on the ice in February with two recent wins, most recently at Folkestone. She is adaptable in regards tol the trip and is fancied to confirm the form with runner-up Hereford Boy despite being 3lb worse off today. The stable are in good form and she can see off Steelcut. Richard Fahey's gelding is well-drawn and he was value for more than the winning margin last time as he had to wait for a gap. That might be the worry here but if he is well-supported then he is unlikely to be far away. The Lord, Elhamri and Spirit Of Sharjah all have winning form over this course and distance, but none come here in top form and each needs to bounce back to form, a comments that also applies to joint-top-weight Cake. The hold-up performer Lord Of The Reins is certainly capable of running a big race off this reassessed mark of 83 if getting the gaps late on but whilst the consistent Rocker is one to take seriously on his reappearance, it is Princess Rose Anne who is taken to lead them home.
