Cybergenic is best in at the weights judged by official BHA ratings and Paul Murphy's gelding has to be considered being dropped into this grade but he has shown little sign of ability since coming from France and looks best watched in a race taken to go to EDAS, who gets the vote over Summer Soul. Formerly trained in Ireland, Lucinda Russell's gelding has shown signs of ability for new connections and he has to be respected in what seems a poor seller. Fiddlers Creek is capable but has not won for two years so may be best left out of calculations, while Martin Todhunter's Gunadoir has yet to win a race over timber and she is hard to recommend. James Moffatt's Lago was good value for his win at Carlisle in December and has solid claims back over hurdles but he would probably prefer the ground to be more testing. Josephine Malines could be of interest on his hurdling debut but it is hard to get away from Edas. John Quinn's gelding comes here fit and in form from the flat, is relatively unexposed over hurdles and he can make a winning return to them now.
