In depth

Verdict

Peter Winkworth had a well-backed winning debutant earlier this week so money for Oil Strike would be interesting, however the more appealing option is the once-raced DI STEFANO. Mick Channon's Bahamian Bounty colt showed plenty of promise when fourth to Walkingonthemoon at Newbury this month. Although the winner didn't frank the form when upped in class last time, it would be unwise to dismiss it as bad form and with that experience under his belt he is taken to prosper. Admin strikes as the sort who may make up into a good two-year-old; his sire Namid gets some precocious ones and this colt is related to several juvenile winners. Bob Goes Electric, a half-brother to Grafton, and Reddy To Star, a well-related son of Redback, are two to consider, whilst Riffelalp, a daughter of Bachelor Duke, looks the most interesting of the two fillies. The market will provide some further clues but without that information we will side with Di Stefano to hit the back of the net.
