WOODLARK ISLAND is our recommendation with Lady Sorcerer and E Major on the shortlist. David Pipe has his string in fine form at present and having won readily at Wincanton, there is every reason to believe that Woodlark Island could be very well handicapped at present. Lady Sorcerer was no threat last time out though caught the eye with a staying on effort. E Major represents connections that unearthed a few hurdling gems in the past. The market will tell us how far forward he is on seasonal reappearance. Persian Gates was tried over an extreme trip last time so we are happy to overlook that run. This 2m4f should be more to his liking. Patrixtoo has dropped massively down the weights and while his stable are no longer profilic, their horses are running better than what they were. Lukey Luke has become disappointing since showing early signs of promise. Little Firecracker is a course-and-distance winner though he'll have to show much better form than he did at Fontwell in order to win this. Woodlark Island is hard to oppose and we seek not to.
