In depth

Verdict

Leslingtaylor has shown improved form of late and remains feasibly well treated but Double Deputy appreciated the step up to this trip last time and is fancied to follow up at the main expense of Numero Due. The last mentioned lost no caste in defeat behind the progressive Bulwark at Nottingham last month and has solid claims off just a 2lb higher mark today. Treason Trial took advantage of a lenient piece of handicapping when scoring at York earlier this month but has paid the penalty for that with an 8lb rise. Brads House is less exposed than most of these, particularly over this trip, and has to be of interest along with George Moore's consistent Toldo and Velvet Heights, who is closely matched with Numero Due on running at Warwick last month. Double Deputy appreciated the longer trip at Nottingham and with further improvement to come after just five starts, especially on today's softer surface, he gets the vote.
