In depth

Verdict

Familiar Territory looked a shade unfortunate at Epsom last time and is taken to make amends on his first start in a nursery at the main expense of Road To Love and Dream Mountain. The last mentioned opened his account in a Newcastle maiden in good fashion last time and looks to be reasonably well treated but he is not certain to be suited by today's slower ground. Salute Him is entitled to be thereabouts on recent nursery form, while Frank Crow looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved. Nawaqees is closely matched with Salute Him on running last time and is another to consider along with Howard Johnson's Heureux, who was made to work hard to land his maiden at York but may be better than he showed that day judged by previous form. Mark Johnston's Road To Love appreciated the drop in class when scoring at Beverley last time and could be of interest off what appears a favourable mark but Familiar Territory would have finished a lot closer to the latter's stablemate Baan but for hanging badly at Epsom and he is taken to gain compensation.
