In depth

Verdict

Bollin Felix is another Tim Easerby runner today with a decent chance at the meeting and gets the vote ahead of Latanzul, Phreeze and Raffaas. The selection has gone up 11lb for a wide margin win at Ripon last time, but there is reason to believe he can handle the hike. That win came oveer 1m 4f, but this extra quarter-of-a-mile should bring further improvement and he won't mind if the current rains in Yorkshire soften the ground, so he can complete a hat-trick. Latanzul looks a little bit high in the weights judged on recent efforts and did not convince he truly stays beyond 1m 4f last time. A combination of soft ground and a 7lb rise did not help Phreeze get home at Sandown last time and better ground here should help. Raffaas struggled with a 2lb higher mark last time but may be capable of making the frame today, but Bollin Felix is in superb form and can continue his winning run.
