Alan Devonshire is taken to land the opener at the expense of Prince Kalamoun and Van Bossed. The selection is still unexposed with only two runs under his belt and caught the eye on both ocassions. He stepped up in grade to run well when finishing mid division at Goodwood last time out and can only improve once more now back in grade. He looks a promising recruit and is worth following for the time being. Prince Kalamoun ran well on his debut over course and distance when finishing third to Jim Martin and can only improve for the experience. Van Bossard is another to note after performing well on both starts to date and will appreciate the step up to seven furlongs here. But for the winner we return to Alan Devonshire.
