    Verdict

The step up in trip here should suit Sonning Star, who can break his maiden tag at the main expense of Inchlaggan and Broomielaw, while there are a couple of interesting newcomers to consider. Sonning Star has been campaigned over a mile just lately and went will in defeat in a Windsor maiden last time. Related to a number of 10f winners, and with a penchanct for decent ground, he can come good now. Inchlaggan tried to make all at Haydock over a furlong further when last seen out in May and this drop back to 10f should also suit, so he should be thereabouts. Broomielaw had excuses when beaten at Newmarket last time and a second try at this try is certainly worthwhile. He looks a decent sort and can go close, while newcomers Bukit Tinggi and Bright Mind are both bred to go well and the latter can probably edge that personal battle, but Sonning Star can shine.
