Verdict
Lampion Du Bost, Bobbing Cove and True Temper are the three for the shortlist and preference is for True Temper. Bobbing Cove has only had three outings to date and has shaped encouragingly on each occasion. His latest outing was his best, and he must be respected despite conceding weight to the majority of the field in this weak affair. Lampion Du Bost is still a maiden in ten starts and despite some promising efforts, appears thoroughly exposed and has been unable to take advantage of a falling handicap mark. True Temper could be the answer. he had run well on several occasions during the winter bover hurdles before turning his attention to fences. He reverts to hurdles here and looks nicely treated in this moderate contest. True Temper can win the opener.
