Verdict

In a race that has cut up badly, it appears futile to oppose Cheerleader who should win comfortably, with Sterling Supporter taken to provide the forecast. With all of the other big southern entries declining to line up, jockey Seb Sanders should enjoy something of an armchair ride on Cheerleader, a half-sister to Ventiquattrofogli, who did all bar win on her latest outing at Windsor recently. The Michael Jarvis-trained filly so nearly made all at the Berkshire track, but was caught right on the line by Jeremy Noseda's One To Win. That form alone is enough for her to win this, but she also found only the potentially Group class Seven Magicians too good at Sandown the time before, and basically has been found the softest of opportunities to open her account. So, it is a question of who is going to finish second, and with Montrachet Belle already looking exposed, and Final Overture returning from a year's break, it is Sterling Supporter that we look to. With Danny Tudhope claiming a handy five-pounds off her back, she can improve on a recent Ripon outing to chase the selection home as long as she does not race too keenly again.
