Passion Fruit gets the call in the first race, with Kew The Music and Gifted Flame best of the rest. Passion Fruit was decidedly unlucky at Musselburgh recently, finishing a close fourth to The Old Soldier after getting no sort of run. Chris Fairhurst's filly had looked one to follow when scoring over six furlongs here six days earlier, and despite going up three-pound in the weights since her defeat, she should go close from her high draw. Kew The Music continues to run well in defeat but will need things to fall right for him from stall one, while Gifted Flame has to give weight away to the rest. David Barron's charge turns out quickly after finding Irony too good here on Saturday and despite his welter burden will still be involved no doubt. Albashoosh looked one to follow when carrying a big weight to victory at Pontefract last summer, but Dandy Nicholls' inmate has come nowhere near repeating the feat. However, in what is not a strong contest, he should not be overlooked. For the winner though we return to Passion Fruit.
